Jin Han Lee

Jin Han Lee's paintings are full of tension, clever and free from worldly interference. But in addition to her work, what attracted me to her was her explanation on her official website. She believes that between the realisation of the figurative and the acquisition of the abstract will stem from W.J.T. Mitchell's Inference about painting's acquaintance of time, whereby ekphrastic hope and fear are not interpreted as a hierarchy but take on different guises just as eyeballs generate meeting points where experience encounters the thought. This meeting point is itself a coherent whole, where every conflicting dichotomy can become a reality.

This is similar to the unifying point of my two series. The difference is that I want to express the unity of 'psychological' and 'physical', while she focuses on culture.
